Matthias Douglas is a young winger who brings pace, agility, and attacking intent to the Seattle Seawolves. Born in Italy, he developed through the domestic pathway, progressing from Mogliano Veneto to opportunities with Benetton Rugby.
Douglas earned selection for Italy U20s, competing in the U20 Six Nations and World Rugby Junior World Championship. His performances highlighted his acceleration, footwork, and ability to break down defenses in open space.
At age-grade international level, he showed strong attacking instincts with line breaks, carries, and consistent involvement across phases. His ability to create opportunities and contribute defensively makes him a well-rounded outside back.
He joins the Seawolves for the 2026 season as a high-upside player focused on developing his game and adding speed and creativity to the backline.
