Harrison Mataele

Harison Mataele is a Tonga international lock who brings size, physicality, and aerial dominance to the Seattle Seawolves. Standing 6’8”, he provides a strong presence in the tight five and at the lineout.
Mataele made his test debut for Tonga in 2022 and has since featured in multiple international competitions, including the Pacific Nations Cup and autumn test window. His performances have shown consistency in contact, strong defensive output, and effectiveness at set piece.
At club level, he has built experience across Australia and France, including time with Manly Marlins, Eastern Suburbs, and Stade Montois. Those environments helped develop his physical style and understanding of forward play at a high level.
Known for his lineout ability, work rate, and impact in collisions, Mataele adds strength and depth to the Seawolves forward pack. He joins the club for the 2026 season ready to make an immediate impact.
